Nasser Jabour, the director of the National Institute of Geophysics, announced the registration of a 3.6-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale on Wednesday morning in the commune of Tlet N’Yaaqoub, located in Al Haouz province.
In a press statement, Mr. Jabour explained that the tremor, though felt by residents, is considered a normal and recurring seismic activity in the area.
He also noted that the frequency of earthquakes in the province has significantly decreased compared to previous months, with only one or two tremors recorded monthly. According to him, this situation is entirely normal and does not warrant concern.
