Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts Thursday on a Positive Note
The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on Thursday with an upward trend. Its main index, the « MASI », rose by 0.25%, settling at 14,806.18 points.
The « MASI.20 », representing the performance of the top 20 listed companies, increased by 0.27% to 1,199.26 points. Similarly, the « MASI.ESG », which tracks companies with the best ESG ratings, gained 0.23%, reaching 1,047.99 points.
The « MASI Mid and Small Cap », which reflects the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, recorded a rise of 0.25%, ending at 1,506.47 points.
On an individual stock basis, the top gainers included:
- CFG Bank (+1.68% at 223.7 MAD),
- Société des Boissons du Maroc (+1.45% at 2,380 MAD),
- Attijariwafa Bank (+1.1% at 577.9 MAD),
- Transport Company (+0.77% at 33.95 MAD),
- Mutandis (+0.16% at 308 MAD).
Conversely, the biggest decliners were:
- Managem (-2.64% at 2,801 MAD),
- SMI (-1.71% at 2,015 MAD),
- Douja Promotion (Addoha) (-1.41% at 37.05 MAD),
- Auto Hall (-1.36% at 65.1 MAD),
- CIH (-1.2% at 403.1 MAD).
It is worth noting that the MASI closed Wednesday’s session with a slight drop of 0.04%.
