The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts for Thursday the formation of low clouds and fog patches in the morning along the Atlantic coasts north of Essaouira. Frost is expected in the morning and at night over mountainous areas, the high eastern plateaus, and the southeastern slopes.
During the day, high-altitude clouds will appear over the Saharan provinces and northern regions of the country, while central areas will enjoy mostly sunny skies. There is a possibility of dust or sand particles spreading in the southern provinces, with scattered light rain expected in the extreme northwest during the night.
Winds will be moderate to weak from the east in the southern regions, and light and variable in the rest of the country.
Minimum temperatures will range between -1 to 4°C in the Atlas Mountains, eastern slopes, and high eastern plateaus, 11 to 15°C in the far south and Mediterranean coast, and 7 to 11°C elsewhere. Daytime temperatures will see a slight drop in the central and northern regions, remaining steady in the south.
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean, slightly choppy to rough in the Strait of Gibraltar and along the Atlantic coast, becoming locally rough between Tangier and Cape Ghir in the evening.
