Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts the Week on a Positive Note
The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading this Monday in green territory, with its main index, « MASI, » rising by 0.14% to settle at 14,741.44 points.
The « MASI.20 » index, reflecting the performance of 20 leading listed companies, climbed by 0.2% to 1,193.32 points. Meanwhile, the « MASI.ESG, » which tracks companies with the best ESG ratings, edged up by 0.01% to 1,041.86 points.
The « MASI Mid and Small Cap, » representing small and medium-sized listed companies, saw a gain of 0.15%, reaching 1,501.1 points.
On an individual level, the top gainers were:
- Stokvis North Africa (+5.96%, MAD 16.7)
- Involys (+3.95%, MAD 99.9)
- TotalEnergies Marketing Morocco (+2.67%, MAD 1,540)
- Aluminium of Morocco (+2.21%, MAD 1,434)
- LafargeHolcim Morocco (+2.09%, MAD 1,950).
Conversely, the largest declines were recorded by:
- Stroc Industry (-4.19%, MAD 41.2)
- Attijariwafa Bank (-1.46%, MAD 565.6)
- HPS (-1.4%, MAD 565.6)
- Credit du Maroc (-1.16%, MAD 938)
- Maghreb Payment Systems (-1.08%, MAD 237.4).
As a reminder, the « MASI » index had ended last Friday’s session with a slight decline of 0.02%.
