Weather Forecast for Today

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts snow today, Friday, over the peaks of the High Atlas Mountains at altitudes exceeding 2200 meters.

Scattered showers are also expected in the High Atlas mountains, along with very light rain or drizzles over the central Atlantic plains.

Additionally, fog patches will form in the morning and evening in the western Saharan provinces, the northern parts of the eastern region, and along the Atlantic plains. Elsewhere, the weather will remain relatively cold to cold with localized frost in the morning and evening over the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the southeastern slopes, and the eastern parts of the country.

Sand grains will also be dispersed in the northern Saharan provinces and the Anti-Atlas regions, accompanied by moderate to strong winds near Tangier, along the Mediterranean coast, and in the southern Anti-Atlas.

Minimum temperatures will range between -04 and 03 degrees in the High and Middle Atlas mountains and their eastern slopes, as well as the eastern highlands. They will range between 09 and 16 degrees in Tangier, the central Atlantic plains, southern provinces, and near the coasts. Elsewhere, temperatures will vary between 04 and 11 degrees.

During the day, a slight increase in temperatures is expected in the south, while they will decrease in other areas.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Mediterranean, moderate in the Strait of Gibraltar, rough to very rough between Tangier and Asilah, slight to moderate between Asilah and Tan-Tan, and calm to slight south of Tan-Tan.
