Government Council Meeting to Be Held Next Thursday Under Aziz Akhannouch’s Leadership
The government’s presidency announced in a statement that the Government Council, led by Aziz Akhannouch, will convene next Thursday.
The meeting will begin with a review of a draft law aimed at amending and completing existing legislation concerning the judicial organization of the Kingdom.
The statement also mentions that two draft decrees will be discussed: the first regarding the specific statute of scientific attachés within the ministry responsible for health, and the second concerning aquaculture in freshwater environments.
Subsequently, the Council will study Convention No. 185, which revises the 1958 Convention on Seafarers’ Identity Documents, adopted during the 91st session of the International Labour Organization’s General Conference in Geneva on June 19, 2003. This will be followed by the study of the 2002 Protocol to the Athens Convention relating to the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea, 1974, adopted in London on November 1, 2002. Two draft laws approving these agreements will also be examined.
The Council will conclude its session by discussing proposals for appointments to high-level positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution.
