US Secretary of State Hails HM King Mohammed VI’s Leadership

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in promoting regional and international peace and security.

In a statement issued on Monday in Washington following a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, the Secretary of State highlighted the strategic partnership between Morocco and the United States in advancing global peace and security, commending HM the King’s leadership in this regard.

The State Department spokesperson’s statement noted that the discussions between the two officials also covered the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages, and Morocco’s leading role in delivering humanitarian aid to Palestinians.

The US Secretary of State also expressed his country’s desire to intensify cooperation with Morocco to advance shared regional interests and resolve conflicts, particularly within the framework of the Abraham Accords.

Additionally, the statement emphasized that Mr. Rubio and Mr. Bourita underscored the importance of strengthening trade exchanges and investments between the two nations to serve the interests of their peoples.
