After a period of uncertainty, Morocco’s real estate market is showing signs of revival, supported by strategic initiatives and major upcoming international events.
Real estate expert Amine Mernissi noted that the sector is slowly recovering from nearly three years of stagnation. « This phase is now behind us, » he told MAP.
The « Dukhom Sakane » program, launched in January 2024 and running for five years, is a game-changer. In its first year, 130,000 applications were filed, with 35,000 households benefiting from direct financial aid ranging between MAD 70,000 and MAD 100,000.
The expert is optimistic, citing projects such as the 2025 AFCON and the 2030 FIFA World Cup, alongside fiscal reforms that could encourage further real estate investments.
While major cities like Casablanca and Rabat see high demand for properties around MAD 1 million, semi-urban areas are witnessing increased interest in larger homes with green spaces.
