Positive Start for Casablanca Stock Exchange
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened trading this Wednesday on a positive note. Its main index, “MASI,†rose by 0.12% to 15,932.52 points.
The “MASI.20†index, tracking the performance of 20 listed companies, gained 0.1% to 1,288.74 points, while the “MASI.ESG†index, which tracks companies with top ESG ratings, fell by 0.16% to 1,114.12 points.
Meanwhile, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap†index, reflecting the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, gained 0.73% to reach 1,676.51 points.
The top gainers included “Maghreb Oxygène†(+9.93% at 379 MAD), “Delta Holding†(+4.09% at 75 MAD), and “CIH Bank†(+2.18% at 459.8 MAD). On the downside, “Fenie Brossette†(-1.52% at 123.1 MAD) and “Disway Technologies†(-1.05% at 305.5 MAD) recorded the largest losses.
On Tuesday, the MASI index closed with a 0.17% gain.
