Weather Forecast for Friday

The General Directorate of Meteorology expects rain and showers in the northern part of the Oriental region and the eastern Mediterranean coast this Friday.

The sky will be partly cloudy with light rain in the northern High Atlas and the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus. Snowfall is expected over the High and Middle Atlas mountains as well as the eastern highlands.

Temperatures will be relatively cold to cold over the Atlas and Rif mountains, the Oriental region, the southeastern part of the country, and the plains west of the Atlas. Moderate to strong winds will blow over the central coasts, the High Atlas, the southeastern slopes, the Oriental region, and the southern provinces.

Dust storms may occur locally in the southern provinces and the southern part of the Oriental region.

Minimum temperatures will range between -6°C and 0°C in the Atlas, between 5°C and 10°C in the Atlantic plains and the extreme southeast, between 10°C and 15°C near the coasts and in the southern provinces, and between 0°C and 5°C in the rest of the country.

Maximum temperatures will continue to drop in the east and south of the country.

Regarding sea conditions, the Mediterranean will be slightly rough to rough, and the Strait of Gibraltar will be rough, becoming calm to slightly rough in the evening. North of Assilah, the sea will transition from strong to very strong to slightly rough to rough in the evening. Between Assilah and Cap Tafelney, it will be very strong, gradually becoming rough to strong. Between Cap Tafelney and Tarfaya, the sea will be strong to very strong, and rough to strong south of Tarfaya.
