Ashraf Bencherki Joins Al Ahly: A New Chapter in Egypt
Egyptian club Al Ahly announced on Thursday the signing of Moroccan player Ashraf Bencherki on a free transfer.
On Wednesday, Qatari club Al Rayyan had confirmed the mutual termination of Bencherki’s contract.
According to Egyptian media, the Moroccan forward has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Al Ahly.
With this move, Bencherki becomes the fourth Moroccan player in the squad, joining Yahya Attiat Allah, Achraf Dari, and Reda Slim.
Al Ahly currently sits third in the Egyptian league with 20 points from 10 matches, having won 5, drawn 5, and remaining undefeated. The team has scored 16 goals and conceded 6.
