As part of the joint preparations by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup, the three countries are considering easing visa procedures for their citizens. This initiative aims to enhance freedom of movement between these nations during the tournament.
This approach aligns with FIFA’s requirements, which emphasize the need to facilitate the movement of fans across host countries during the global event.
According to specialized sources, a committee representing the three nations is working on a project to simplify visa issuance through a reciprocal entry system, reducing bureaucratic hurdles for football fans.
The European Union is also assessing the possibility of removing or at least easing Schengen visa requirements for Moroccan citizens ahead of the 2030 World Cup. Such a move could strengthen regional cooperation and improve mobility for fans.
Furthermore, a « fan card » system or significant visa facilitation measures are expected, similar to those implemented in previous tournaments like Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022.
As the event draws closer, the involved countries are expected to announce the specific details and conditions of these measures, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for fans and participants of the 2030 World Cup.
