Woman Arrested in Marrakech for Human Trafficking and Exploiting Minors

Judicial police forces in Marrakech arrested a 48-year-old woman on Wednesday evening on suspicion of involvement in human trafficking, child exploitation, and physical and sexual abuse.

According to preliminary investigations, the suspect allegedly lured and manipulated five victims, including four minors aged between 13 and 17, to engage them in criminal activities such as begging and prostitution.

Further inquiries indicate that the woman used coercion and violence, taking advantage of vulnerable children in difficult circumstances to facilitate these illegal acts.

The suspect was caught in the act inside a house she was using in Marrakech. A specialized unit for assisting women and child victims of violence has been assigned to provide necessary support.

She has been placed under custody under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities to determine the full scope of this criminal activity and identify any accomplices involved.
