Business Growth in Morocco in 2024

The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) reported the creation of 10,170 new businesses in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region by the end of November 2024.

These businesses are divided between legal entities (7,657) and natural persons (2,513). Rabat leads with 3,270 new companies, followed by Kenitra (2,328), Temara (1,999), Salé (1,215), Tiflet (306), Sidi Kacem (279), Khemisset (212), Souk El Arbaa du Gharb (191), Mechraa Belksiri (184), Sidi Slimane (163), and Rommani (23).

Commerce dominates with 32.82% of new businesses, followed by services (20.35%), construction and real estate activities (20.21%), transport (7.90%), hospitality and restaurants (5.91%), industry (5.35%), IT and communications (3.45%), agriculture and fishing (2.07%), and financial activities (1.93%).

Among these businesses, 65.6% are limited liability companies with a single partner, while 33.8% are standard limited liability companies.

Nationally, 86,674 businesses were created in the first 11 months of 2024. Casablanca-Settat leads with 27,078 businesses, followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (12,627), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (10,170), Marrakech-Safi (9,744), Fès-Meknès (5,993), Souss-Massa (5,893), Oriental (5,131), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (3,487), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (2,445), Drâa-Tafilalet (1,970), Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab (1,434), and Guelmim-Oued Noun (702).
