As part of the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, a mobile hospital was inaugurated this Friday in the commune of Imilchil, located in Midelt province, Drâa-Tafilalet region. This initiative aims to provide essential healthcare services to populations affected by cold waves and ensure the continuity of healthcare in remote areas.
According to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, this third edition of the mobile hospital aligns with efforts to reduce disparities in healthcare access. Approximately 53,000 people will benefit from this facility, covering several communes in Imilchil and the Tounfite district.
The hospital offers various services, including general and specialized consultations, surgical procedures, pediatrics, gynecology, cardiology, ophthalmology, as well as dental and nursing care.
With a capacity of 32 beds, the facility spans 1.5 hectares and includes surgical units, medical imaging, a laboratory, a maternity room, and ENT and dentistry services.
Around 250 healthcare professionals, including 46 doctors and 162 nurses, will ensure the proper functioning of this structure. This initiative follows similar interventions in Boumia, Taguedouine, and El
Kbab, which have already provided healthcare to over 300,000 people.
