Attempt to Unearth a Treasure Foiled in Taroudant

The Royal Gendarmerie of Anzalet Laâdham successfully thwarted a daring attempt to unearth a treasure in the Lakron area, Taroudant province. Six individuals, aged between 32 and 74, were caught red-handed while digging using specialized equipment.

The operation followed the monitoring of suspicious movements by the suspects, prompting the security forces to intervene swiftly and arrest them on the spot.

During the raid, excavation tools and two vehicles were seized and placed in the municipal impound lot.

The suspects were referred to the public prosecutor at the Ben Guerir Court of First Instance. They were released on bail, each required to pay 5000 dirhams while investigations continue to uncover more details about this intriguing case.
