Barcelona crush Sevilla and continue their title chase

FC Barcelona kept their title hopes alive with a commanding 4-1 victory over Sevilla in Matchday 23 of La Liga on Sunday night.

Robert Lewandowski put Barça ahead early in the 7th minute, but Sevilla responded immediately through Ruben Vargas, who equalized just a minute later (8’). The first half was fiercely contested.

After the break, the Catalans took control. Substitute Fermín López restored Barcelona’s lead in the 47th minute before Raphinha extended the gap with a third goal in the 55th. Despite López receiving a red card in the 62nd minute, Barcelona secured their triumph with a late strike from Eric García (89’).

With this win, Barça moves up to 48 points, keeping the pressure on league leaders Real Madrid (50 points) and second-placed Atlético Madrid (49 points), who drew 1-1 in the same round. Meanwhile, Sevilla remains in 13th place with 28 points, continuing their struggles this season.
