The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts scattered rain this Wednesday over the northern and central Atlantic plains, the western Mediterranean coastline, and the eastern slopes of the High and Middle Atlas mountains.

The sky will be partly to mostly cloudy, with light showers expected over the Atlas Mountains, the phosphate plateaus, Oulmès, and the central inland plains. Snowfall is expected over the High and Middle Atlas ranges.

Temperatures will be relatively cold to cold, with frost or ice forming in the morning and at night over the Atlas Mountains and the eastern slopes.

Strong to locally very strong wind gusts are expected over the Small Atlas, the central coasts, and the Saharan provinces, accompanied by local dust storms. Winds will be moderate from the east in the southern provinces and light to moderate elsewhere.

Minimum temperatures will range from -7°C to -1°C in the High Atlas, from 0°C to 9°C in the rest of the Atlas, the Rif, and the southeastern regions, and from 5°C to 14°C in other areas. Maximum temperatures will experience a slight drop.

Regarding sea conditions:

  • Calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean,
  • Rough to strong west of M’diq,
  • Slightly rough to rough west of the Strait of Gibraltar,
  • Strong to very strong north of Tan-Tan and south of Boujdour,
  • Rough to strong along the rest of the Atlantic coast.
