A Commemorative Stamp in Honor of Road Safety

In conjunction with the fourth edition of the Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, Barid Al-Maghrib Group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the National Road Safety Agency (NARSA), has announced the issuance of a commemorative postage stamp.
The official launch of this stamp took place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, on the sidelines of the global conference, which is being held in Marrakech from February 18 to 20, 2025. This prestigious event brings together world leaders, policymakers, and leading experts from 193 countries.
The conference aims to assess the progress made in implementing the Global Plan for Road Safety 2021-2030 at its mid-term and to establish concrete measures to reduce road accident fatalities by half by 2030.
The commemorative stamp, specially designed for this occasion, embodies the visual identity of the conference. Its design features earthy brown tones inspired by traditional Moroccan zellige patterns and highlights the host city, Marrakech, with an artistic depiction of the iconic Menara monument. At the center of the design, an innovative representation of multi-lane roads forms the number « 4, » symbolizing the fourth edition of the conference.
Through this special release, Barid Al-Maghrib reaffirms its commitment to promoting road safety and honoring major national and international events hosted in Morocco. With a long-standing tradition in philately, the institution continues to use postage stamps as a powerful tool for awareness and historical preservation.
