Australia Opens Market for Sheep Imports: Health Certificates Signed

The government announced on Thursday the signing of health safety certificates for importing sheep from Australia, as part of efforts to expand market opportunities for professionals in the sector.
During a press conference following the weekly government council meeting, government spokesperson Mustapha Baitas confirmed that an agreement had been reached with Australia. He noted that the Ministry of Agriculture, through the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA), is working on diversifying import markets.
Baitas explained that this process includes signing health certificates, which will officially open the Australian market for sheep imports.
He added: « All markets are currently open, and the Ministry of Agriculture provides the necessary technical and health support to ensure the import of high-quality products, in the best interest of citizens. »
