Royal Support for Jerusalem’s Social Institutions During Ramadan

Several representatives of social welfare institutions in Jerusalem have praised the humanitarian initiatives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, aimed at alleviating the hardships of the city’s residents during the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking to Maghreb Arab Press during the distribution of food aid packages (« Qoffa Ramadan ») to 20 social institutions on Monday evening, the representatives commended the efforts of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency to support vulnerable populations in Jerusalem during the fasting month.
Diaa Al-Husseini, Executive President of the Wadi Al-Joz Charity Association, described the initiative as a « noble step » that helps support families facing economic difficulties. He also praised the King’s various initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of Jerusalem’s residents, including community programs and food assistance for those in need during Ramadan.
Sarah Haidaf, Coordinator of the Silwan Women’s Revolutionary Center, expressed gratitude to the King for his unwavering support of Jerusalemites in facing their hardships. She highlighted the positive impact of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency’s initiatives, calling them « a pioneering effort » and « a commendable initiative. »
Mohammed Al-Sayyad, President of the Nour Association for the Blind, thanked His Majesty for his special attention to people with disabilities. He praised the efforts made to ease their suffering through valuable social assistance.
On Monday evening, in Beit Hanina, a suburb of Jerusalem, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency began distributing food aid to social institutions, including orphanages, shelters, care centers, and neighborhood committees in the Old City. A total of 20 establishments benefited from the aid, which included 22 essential food items and necessary nutritional supplements.
This initiative, attended by Moroccan and Palestinian officials, is part of the agency’s social assistance program during Ramadan, targeting Jerusalem’s most vulnerable populations.
