In an effort to enhance airport operations, the National Airports Office has announced the implementation of a new surveillance system at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. This initiative aims to streamline passenger movement while maintaining strict international security standards.

According to the official statement, security inspection devices, including scanners and detection gates, have been relocated to the airport entrances. This adjustment has significantly reduced long queues, making travel more convenient for passengers.

By implementing these changes, passengers can now access the airport more quickly and efficiently, reducing congestion at security checkpoints.

This transformation reflects strong coordination between the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of National Security, and the Royal Gendarmerie, ensuring both high-security standards and improved passenger flow.

This initiative is part of the « Airports 2030 » strategy, which focuses on upgrading Moroccan airport infrastructures by providing more comfortable spaces and integrating advanced technology to speed up procedures.

The new surveillance system will be progressively introduced in other Moroccan airports, starting with Marrakech Airport, followed by Nador-Al Aroui Airport and others.
