
A multidisciplinary medical and nursing team at Arrazi Hospital, part of the Mohammed VI University Hospital Center in Marrakech, has recently performed a highly delicate surgical procedure to successfully reattach an amputated hand.
According to a statement from the center, the surgery was carried out on a 52-year-old man who suffered a complete amputation of his right hand at the wrist due to a workplace accident involving an electric saw.
This complex surgical intervention lasted approximately seven continuous hours, followed by over ten days of intensive medical monitoring to ensure the restored hand regained its functionality and vitality.
The statement also confirmed that the patient is currently in stable condition and remains under care at the orthopedic and trauma surgery department of Arrazi Hospital. He is receiving the necessary treatments and rehabilitation sessions to maximize his recovery.
