Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Military Housing and Equipment Agency

The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Military Housing and Equipment Agency this Friday in Rabat. The meeting focused on reviewing the agency’s activities at the end of 2024, adopting the 2025-2027 work program, and approving the projected budget for the 2025 financial year.
According to a statement from the National Defense Administration, members of the Board expressed their satisfaction with the numerous investment projects carried out between 2007 and 2024 for the benefit of military personnel and civilian employees. These projects aim to improve their socio-economic conditions and facilitate homeownership, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
During the meeting, the minister emphasized the agency’s efforts to enhance and simplify housing access for the Royal Armed Forces personnel and civilian staff. He also underlined the need for continued support from ministerial departments and public institutions to assist the agency’s housing programs.
The Board of Directors welcomed the measures implemented by the agency to achieve its objectives in military housing and the modernization of infrastructure for the Royal Armed Forces.
By the end of 2024:
- 15,700 functional housing units for rent were completed.
- 79,500 housing units for ownership were acquired by defense administration staff through partnerships with real estate companies.
- Approximately 47,600 beneficiaries received state financial assistance.
The agency also supervised the relocation of several military infrastructures in different cities across the Kingdom. This process freed up significant land for urban development projects.
As part of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s commitment to the Royal Armed Forces, he issued directives for a major national initiative. This includes the free allocation of land plots to members of the Hassan II Foundation for Social Services of Former Military Personnel and Veterans, with exemptions from registration and property title fees.
