Patrice Motsepe Re-elected as CAF President for a Second Term

South African Patrice Motsepe was re-elected on Wednesday as the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for a second term during the 14th Extraordinary General Assembly of the organization, held in Cairo.

Motsepe secured the trust of the CAF General Assembly for another term lasting until 2029, as he was the sole candidate for the position.

The agenda of this extraordinary assembly also includes the election of members of the CAF Executive Committee and the appointment of the six CAF representatives to the FIFA Council. The event is attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, as well as prominent figures and key stakeholders in global football.
