Weather Alert: Heavy Rainfall and Significant Snowfall Expected in Several Regions

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning about heavy rainfall and significant snowfall expected in several regions of Morocco from Wednesday to Saturday.

Heavy Rainfall (40 to 60 mm): Expected in Al Hoceima, M’diq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Tangier-Asilah, Ouezzane, Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, Taza, and Taounate, from Wednesday at 8:00 PM to Thursday at 12:00 PM.

Significant Snowfall:

• 50 to 80 cm on high-altitude areas above 1500 meters, affecting Ifrane, Azilal, Beni Mellal, and Midelt.
• 10 to 50 cm in Al Haouz, Khenifra, Boulemane, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Sefrou, and Taroudant.
• This snow alert will be in effect from Thursday at 9:00 PM to Saturday at 6:00 AM.

 Residents are advised to exercise caution and take necessary precautions against severe weather conditions.
