CAN U17: Morocco qualified in the final, at the expense of Mali
The Moroccan U17 team has qualified for the final of the African Cup of Nations, which takes place in Algeria, after its victory this Sunday evening, against Mali, on penalties (6-5)
The Cubs found themselves facing a Malian selection, solid and dangerous in the offensive sector. Said Chiba’s foals were able to cope with attempts from the Malians, who were strong in duels and came close to scoring time and time again. The two compositions could not be decided in the 90th minutes.
And it was the Moroccan selection that finally won the qualification, thanks to the beautiful illustration of the goalkeeper, Taha Benghozil, during the penalty shootout (6-5).
Morocco will face in the final of this CAN, Senegal who beat Burkina Faso earlier in the day.
