His Majesty the King Chairs in M’diq Reception on Throne Day

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, chaired a reception, on Sunday afternoon at the M’diq-Fnideq prefecture square (city of M’diq), on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the Sovereign’s accession to the throne of His glorious ancestors.

At the beginning of this ceremony, HM the King saluted the Moroccan flag while the national anthem was playing and a 21-gun salute was fired.

The Sovereign was afterwards greeted by several Moroccan and foreign figures who came to extend their wishes to HM the King on this joyful occasion.

Thus, the Sovereign received greetings from the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, and the Speaker of the House of Councillors, Enaam Mayara.

HM the King was also greeted by the President-Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, First President of the Court of Cassation, Mohamed Abdennabaoui, the President of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, King’s Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, El Hassan Daki, the President of the Constitutional Court, Said Ihrai, the First President of the Court of Auditors, Zineb El Adaoui, the President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, Ahmed Réda Chami, the Secretary General of the Higher Council of Ulemas, Mohamed Yssef, the President of the Higher Council of Education, Training and Scientific Research, Habib El Malki and the President of the National Human Rights Council, Amina Bouayach.

The Sovereign was also greeted by Kingdom’s Ombudsman, Mohamed Benalilou, the President of the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication, Latifa Akherbach, the President of the Competition Council, Ahmed Rahhou, the President of the National Authority for Probity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption, Mohamed Bachir Rachdi, the President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, the Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region, Governor of the Tangier-Assilah Prefecture, Mohamed Mhidia and the President of the Council of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region, Omar Moro.

HM the King was then greeted by Major General Mohamed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, Commander of the Southern Zone, Lieutenant General Mohamed Haramou, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, Major General Mohamed Gadih, Inspector of the Royal Air Force, Colonel Major Mohamed Tahin, Inspector of the Royal Navy, Colonel Major Azzeddine Khalid, Head of the Third Bureau, Brigadier General Jabrane Khalid, Inspector of the Auxiliary Forces (Northern Zone), Colonel Major Mustapha Hdiouad, Inspector of the Auxiliary Forces (Southern Zone), the Director General of National Security and Director General of National Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, and the Director General of Studies and Documentation, Mohamed Yassine El Mansouri.

HM the King was also greeted by the dean of the African diplomatic corps, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon, Mouhamadou Youssifou, the dean of the Arab diplomatic corps, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Khalid Bin Salman Jabr Al-Musallam, the dean of the European diplomatic corps, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Ricardo Diez-Holchle. Ricardo Diez-Holchleitner Rodriguez, the dean of the American diplomatic corps, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru, Felix Arturo Chipoco Caceda, and the dean of the Asian diplomatic corps, Ambassador of Malaysia, Astanah Banu Binti Shri.

The Sovereign was also greeted by Monsignor Emilio Rocha Grande, Archbishop of Tangier, the Reverend Pastor Karen Thomas Smith, President of the Evangelical Church in Morocco, and Yossef Israel, Chief Rabbi of Casablanca.

Today’s celebration by the Moroccan people of the 24th anniversary of the enthronement of HM King Mohammed VI is an opportunity for all the components of the Nation to reiterate their fidelity, loyalty and unwavering attachment to the Glorious Alawite Throne.
