Bank Al-Maghrib issues a commemorative coin for the 70th Anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People

Bank Al-Maghrib announced on Sunday the issue of a commemorative coin, in silver, with a face value of 250 dirhams on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People.

This commemorative coin presents, on the obverse, the effigy of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in addition to the mentions “محمد السادس” and “المملكة المغربية” with the vintages 2023-1445 at the bottom, specifies Bank Al Maghrib in a press release.

On the reverse, the coin features the inscription “والشعب الملك لثورة السبعون الذكرى” at the top and its French translation “70th ANNIVERSARY OF THE REVOLUTION OF THE KING AND THE PEOPLE” at the bottom.

The center of the reverse of the coin contains an artistic representation of Moroccan flags (in color printing) energetically raised by arms as a symbol of the living forces contributing to the development of the southern regions of the Kingdom, symbolized by the Port of Dakhla, all surmounted by the Coat of Arms of the Kingdom. The reverse of the coin also includes its face value in Arabic numerals and letters namely “250 درهما وخمسون مائتان“.

As for the technical characteristics of the piece, the alloy is composed of 925 thousandths of silver and 75 thousandths of copper. The piece, which weighs 28.28 grams and has a diameter of 38.61 millimeters, is characterized by a fluted edge and a “Proof” type strike, concludes BAM.
