Arab League Council Commends Role of Al-Quds Committee Chaired by HM the King

The Arab League Council of Foreign Ministers, meeting in Cairo on Wednesday, commended, in its resolution on « Developments and Israeli violations in the occupied city of Al-Quds », the role of the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by HM King Mohammed VI, while highlighting the efforts made by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, under the Committee.

This recognition highlights the integrated approach combining diplomatic and political effort with action on the ground, led by HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in support of the just Palestinian cause.

This same support and praise were reflected in the statement issued by the eighth meeting of the « Arab Ministerial Committee for International Action in Response to Illegal Israeli Actions and Measures in Al-Quds », held on the sidelines of the work of the 160th session of the Council, which highlighted HM the King’s tireless efforts to defend Al-Quds Asharif, as well as the Bayt Mal Al-Quds projects aimed at keeping the Makdessis in their land and supporting their resistance.

In addition, the « Report of the Secretary General on the activities of the General Secretariat and the measures taken to implement the decisions of the Council between sessions 159 and 160 » highlighted Morocco’s participation in the Arab Legal Consultative Committee, aimed at supporting efforts on behalf of the Palestinian people through international judicial mechanisms.

In addition to the political and diplomatic commitment of HM the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, the « Report of the Secretary General » highlighted Morocco’s financial contribution to the budget of the Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Funds, which amounts to 12.5 million dollars, a point also emphasized in the resolution adopted by the Arab League Council at Foreign Ministers level.
