The MoU, signed by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, and his Israeli counterpart, Avraham Moshe Dichter, also outlines plans for the development and implementation of an agricultural research center.
Dichter told the press that the MoU is aimed at enhancing the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the fields of agriculture, wheat cultivation, and water.
« This is a significant step forward for both countries, » he said, expressing his conviction that within a few years, both nations will achieve outstanding results in terms of food security.
As part of the effort to strengthen relations between the two countries, Sadiki and Dichter held talks on the sidelines of the 2nd African Conference on Health Risk Reduction, which is scheduled to continue until September 29. These discussions focused particularly on prospects for bolstering cooperation in the agricultural and fisheries sectors.
