Speaking at a press briefing after the meeting of the Government Council, Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesman, Mustapha Baitas, said that Fettah, who presented the preparations for the Meetings before the Council, also stressed that Morocco’s hosting of the event is a « recognition of the Kingdom’s resilience in the face of crises, as demonstrated by its handling of the earthquake that struck our country ».
In addition, the Minister highlighted the assets that had enabled Morocco to host these meetings, noting that « the Kingdom is a land of welcome, meetings and discussions on subjects of great importance ».
Morocco’s infrastructure, experience, stability and initiatives have made it a reliable, responsible partner, committed to meeting global challenges, she stressed.
Fettah also pointed out that preparations for these meetings have continued in recent months, with a strong contribution from the Moroccan authorities, recalling that the « Bab Ighli » site, which hosted COP-22 and the « Africities » summit, was chosen to host this major event.
The event will bring together over 12,000 high-level participants, including ministers of the economy and/or finance, CEOs of regional and provincial international institutions, the private sector, experts and academics, as well as representatives of international and local non-governmental organizations, in addition to national and international media, Fettah underlined.
She added that the event would be marked by a variety of activities, including conferences, bilateral and multilateral meetings, and cultural and scientific activities.
