Moroccan People Celebrate on Sunday Birthday of HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa

The Moroccan people and the August Royal Family celebrate, on Sunday, the birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, who has made climate action and the dissemination of environmental culture her top priority, both in Morocco and in other countries.

This happy event, celebrated every year on November 19, is a renewed opportunity to highlight the many noble works of HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, who continues to distinguish herself by her personal commitment in the fields of charity and diplomacy, as well as culture and the climate.

On November 15, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa presided over the annual Diplomatic Charity Gala Dinner in Rabat, under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates and the Diplomatic Foundation.

On October 25, Her Royal Highness chaired, at the Assouna mosque in Rabat, a religious evening in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the passing of late HM King Hassan II.

On August 26, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa received, upon the orders of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, at the Palais des Hôtes in Rabat, the children of Al-Quds who have taken part in the 14th edition of the summer camps organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Asharif Agency.

On June 14, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, president of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and patron of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (Ocean Decade), took part in the high-level opening segment of the 3rd Foundations Dialogue for the Decade of the Ocean in Monaco.

Her Royal Highness held, on the sidelines of this event, talks with His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco, during which a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

On the same day, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa visited Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum.

On June 03, Her Royal Highness welcomed, upon her arrival at Marrakech-Ménara airport, the First Lady of the United States of America, Jill Biden, who was visiting Morocco.

Last May, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired, at the Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training in Bouknadel, the award ceremony for the 4th edition (2022) of the Lalla Hasnaa Sustainable Coastline Trophies, rewarding initiatives that have contributed to the protection of the coastline and oceans.

On January 24, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Foundation for the Safeguarding of the Cultural Heritage of Rabat, presided over, at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Paris, the signing of a partnership agreement between the two organizations, in the presence of UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness had a meeting with the UNESCO Director-General, before attending a reception offered in Her honor at UNESCO House by the Director-General of the UN organization.

On January 08, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa inaugurated, at the Bab El Bahr Square, the urban exhibition « Rabat, a Heritage of Humanity », in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Kingdom’s capital being inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

On December 07, 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa presided over the annual Diplomatic Charity Gala Dinner in Rabat, placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and organized by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Diplomatic Foundation.

On November 28 of the same year, Her Royal Highness, President of the Foundation for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Rabat, hosted a reception in honor of a UNESCO delegation, led by the Director General, Audrey Azoulay, who was participating in the 17th Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

This reception was the occasion for an exchange between Her Royal Highness and the Director General of UNESCO which focused on the cooperation, for ten years, between the Foundation and the UN Organization regarding the management of the heritage of the city of Rabat, inscribed in 2012 on the World Heritage List of Humanity.

HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa’s diverse and diversified actions and activities demonstrate a deep and unrivalled determination and commitment, which never ceases to inspire and make an entire people proud.
