Covid-19: 104 New Cases

Some 104 new Covid-19 cases and zero death were reported in Morocco during the last week, the Health and Social Protection ministry said on Friday.

   The number of people vaccinated for the first time reached 24,924,372, those who received two doses 23,426,290, while 6,887,312 people received three injections of the vaccine and 61,238 received the booster dose, the ministry pointed out in its weekly note on the epidemiological situation (November 18-24).

   The new weekly tally brings the overall number of contaminations since the first case on March 2, 2020 to 1,277,746, with a weekly positivity rate of 5.7%.

   The new cases were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (41), Greater Casablanca-Settat (18), Fès-Meknès (18), Oriental (07), Souss-Massa (07), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (06), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (03), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (02), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (01) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (01).

   The overall number of deaths remains at 16,297 (overall case fatality 1.3%), with zero case recorded last week.

   Active cases number 117, with no severe or critical case in the last week.
