Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meriem chaired, on Saturday at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat, the inauguration ceremony of the diplomatic Circle charity Bazaar, placed under the High patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

At the end of the ceremony, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meriem posed for a souvenir photo with members of the diplomatic Circle.

On her arrival at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco, HRH Princess Lalla Meriem reviewed a section of the Auxiliary Forces that made the honors, before being greeted by Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family, Aawatif Hayar, and the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, Mohamed Yacoubi.

Her Royal Highness was also greeted by president of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra regional Council, Rachid El Abdi, president of the Rabat communal Council, Asmaa Rhlalou, president of the Rabat prefectural Council, Abdelaziz Derouiche, president of the Agdal-Riad district Council, Abdellah ldrissi Yazidi, president of the diplomatic Circle, spouse of the Peruvian ambassador in Rabat, Alessandra Mancini de Chipoco, members of the Circle’s executive board and director of the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mohamed El Ferrane.

A genuine tradition, the diplomatic Circle charity Bazaar has been part of the social life of the Kingdom’s capital for over thirty years.

A great celebration of friendship and solidarity, it brings together thousands of people who, in a convivial atmosphere, contribute in solidarity to the diplomatic Circle’s objectives in favor of the underprivileged.

The Bazaar is the major activity of the diplomatic Circle, whose members are the spouses of heads of mission and representatives of international organizations, an active network of committed women diplomats united around a common ideal: to help the most vulnerable, through cultivating the values of fraternity and generosity while respecting cultural and religious diversity.

This event is the most important lever for obtaining the funds needed to support Moroccan NGOs working in the fields of education, health and rural women’s development.

The 2023 edition brings together some thirty countries and international organizations to present a wide variety of products from the four corners of the globe – Africa, America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East – displayed and sold at the various stands.

Once again, this edition sees the participation of Moroccan women’s cooperatives, a gesture of solidarity from the diplomatic Circle for their promotion in a dynamic of development cooperation.

This year, a large part of the funds will be particularly intended to support the victims of the earthquake in the Al Haouz region.
