The Ministry of Equipment and Water has issued a warning to all road and highway users in anticipation of severe weather conditions expected from Thursday to Friday. The alert comes in response to a meteorological bulletin from the General Directorate of Meteorology, forecasting strong wind gusts in several provinces.

In a press release, the ministry urged all drivers to exercise caution and vigilance due to potential reductions in visibility caused by the adverse weather conditions. The alert encompasses a range of weather phenomena, including heavy snowfall on peaks above 1,700 meters in certain provinces, such as Ifrane, Boulemane, and Sefrou. Additionally, there are expectations of substantial rainfall in provinces like Larache, Tangier-Assilah, and Kenitra.

To stay informed and ensure road safety, the ministry advises road users to contact the Permanence Center of the General Directorate of Roads at 05 37 71 17 17 and the call center of Autoroutes du Maroc at 5050.

This cautionary statement serves as a proactive measure to safeguard the public against potential hazards and ensure that individuals are well-prepared for the challenging weather conditions forecasted during the specified period.
