Covid-19: 86 new cases

 The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported a total of 86 new cases of Covid-19 infection and zero deaths in its weekly bulletin on Friday.

In its bulletin on the epidemiological situation covering the period from January 20 to 26, 2024, the Ministry specified that the number of first-time vaccinations had reached 24,924,525, those who had received two doses 23,426,481, while 6,888,168 people had had three injections of the vaccine and 61,396 had received the fourth dose.

The new weekly infection figures bring the total number of infections since the first case was reported in Morocco on March 2, 2020 to 1,278,752, with a weekly positivity rate of 4%.

New cases of infection were reported in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (42), Souss-Massa (21), Grand Casablanca-Settat (11), Daraa-Tafilalet (5), Fez-Meknes (4), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (1), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (1) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1).

The total number of deaths stand at 16,301 (case fatality rate 1.3%), while active cases number 157.
