HM the King Offers Condolences to Family of Late Mohamed Bensaïd Aït Idder

   In this message, the Sovereign said he had learned with deep sorrow of the sad news of the death of Bensaïd Aït Idder, great activist and sincere patriot, imploring God to accept him among the virtuous faithful and welcome him into His vast paradise.

   “On this said occasion, We express to you and, through you, to the family of the deceased, his relatives and friends, as well as to his national political family, Our deep condolences and Our sincere feelings of compassion following the loss of one of the pioneers of the national resistance who, with his cruel disappearance, Morocco has lost one of its loyal servants who dedicated his life to the fight against French and Spanish colonizers, as well as to the defense of freedom, the independence and dignity of Morocco and its territorial integrity, by holding on to the constants and sacred values of the Nation », the Sovereign underlined.

   HM the King also said that he remembered in this difficult ordeal, with great consideration and esteem, the rich career of the deceased in the service of political activism and the defense of human rights, noting that Bensaïd Aït Idder was known for his innumerable moral qualities and his human virtues, which made him one of the figures of committed patriotism and attachment to values and principles.

   The Sovereign affirmed that He shares the pain of the deceased’s family for this tragic loss, the will of God being unstoppable, imploring God to grant them patience and comfort and to reward the deceased with the best retribution for his actions and for having been an example to follow in terms of dedication, self-sacrifice and otherness in the service of the supreme interests of his country.
