The management of migratory flows is a very important aspect in cooperation between the two Kingdoms, Sanchez underlined during a press conference at the end of his working visit to Morocco, adding that his country is « perfectly satisfied » with its cooperation with Morocco in the fight against irregular migration.
Hailing the “excellent” results of the joint action on migration, the head of the Spanish government expressed Spain’s will to further promote this cooperation.
In this regard, Sánchez cited some pioneering programs implemented jointly in this area, notably the program aimed at promoting regular migration which, he said, remains the best way to promote the conditions for a decent life for the young people, often victims of human trafficking networks.
Earlier in the day, HM King Mohammed VI received Pedro Sánchez, President of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain, at the Royal Palace in Rabat.
This visit follows on from the new stage in bilateral relations, initiated by the meeting between HM the King and the President of the Spanish Government in April 2022, and the adoption, on that occasion, of the Joint Declaration between the two countries.
