A heat wave with an « orange » vigilance level is expected from Tuesday to Friday in several provinces of the Kingdom, with temperatures ranging between 39 and 47°C, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced on Monday.

Temperatures ranging from 41 to 45°C are expected on Tuesday in the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia, and Tata.

Hot weather (39-42°C) is forecasted for Wednesday and Thursday in the provinces of Ouezzane, Guercif, Taourirt, Oujda-Angad, Jerada, Figuig, Boulemane, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Taza, Fez, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Youssoufia, and Ouarzazate.

Temperatures between 42 and 47°C are also expected from Wednesday to Friday in the provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Khenifra, Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia, Taroudant, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, and Aousserd.
