The WeCasablanca Festival, a key cultural event in the White City, returns this year with a diverse and innovative program to celebrate the cultural and artistic diversity of Moroccan music.
From July 18 to 20, 2024, Casablanca will resonate with rock, urban, fusion music, as well as Amazigh, Gnaoui, and Aïta music. Events will take place on the stages of Toro Space and the United Nations Plaza, reinforcing the city’s identity.
As a cosmopolitan metropolis open to the world, Casablanca showcases local and national talents, reflecting traditional and contemporary artistic vibrancy, youth, and the people of Casablanca. This year, WeCasablanca promises unforgettable moments of sharing and discovery.
Always fertile ground for avant-garde artistic movements, Casablanca will feature bands like Meteor Airlines, which blends alternative rock with traditional sounds, and Hoba Hoba Spirit, a pioneer of Moroccan rock and Hayha Music. Both will perform on the Toro Space stage on July 18.
On July 19, Toro Space will spotlight fusion music with artists Jubantouja and Mehdi Qamoum, who blend jazz, blues, indie rock, and traditional influences to create unique sounds.
WeCasablanca will also celebrate urban music with Tagne, a leading figure in the Moroccan rap scene, and Farid Ghannam, known for his distinctive voice and style that fuses Gnaoua, pop, and R&B.
The festival will highlight Amazigh culture with artists like Badr Ouabi and Aïcha Tachenouit, as well as Gnaoua music with Asmaa Hamzaoui and Hamid El Kasri. The heritage of Aïta will also be celebrated by Siham El Mesfiouia and Said Senhaji.
Electronic music fans can enjoy sets by DJ Omary, Sound Of Mint, DJ MKA, and D33P SOUL, along with immersive visual experiences by VJ Kalamour.
