The National Women’s Football League (LNFF) management committee, which convened on Thursday, has set September 21 as the start date for the national professional championship for the first (D1) and second (D2) divisions.
Presided over by Khadija Illa, the president of the National Women’s Football League (LNFF), the meeting focused on several points, including the possibility of registering four foreign players, with three of them eligible to be listed on the match sheet for D1 and D2 games for the 2024-2025 sports season, according to a statement published on the website of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
The LNFF management committee also scheduled the draw for the national professional women’s football championship and the U17 national championship (2024-2025 season) as well as the 2023-2024 Throne Cup qualifiers for September 2.
According to the same source, the first round of the Throne Cup qualifiers will take place on October 26. The LNFF management committee discussed the general provisions regarding the organization of the national senior women’s football championship and the U17 national championship.
These provisions include, among others, the requirement for D1 and D2 clubs to hold their general assemblies before August 31, 2024, the approval of the distribution of clubs participating in the D2 professional national championship (north and south groups), and the U17 championship, as well as reducing the maximum number of qualified players from 25 to 23.
