The Royal Commission in charge of the pilgrimage held a meeting on Thursday in Rabat to discuss the progress of the Hajj season 1445 H, the preparations for the Hajj season 1446 H, and the modalities for the Hajj season 1447 H.
After discussing the agenda items, the Commission recommended that for the 1446 H Hajj season, citizens selected through the official lottery system should pay an estimated amount of 65,000 DH. The final cost of the Hajj will be determined later and may increase or decrease, according to a statement from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
The payment period for Hajj fees for pilgrims overseen by the ministry and official agencies will take place at Barid Bank agencies from September 2 to 20, 2024, with acceptance of certified checks. Medical examinations will commence immediately after the completion of the payment process.
For the Hajj season 1447 H/2026, the Commission recommended opening the electronic registration process for citizens aged 18 and older who have not performed Hajj in the past ten years. This registration will be available from January 13 to 24, 2025.
