The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened higher on Wednesday, with its main index, the MASI, rising by 0.54% to 13,676.61 points (pts). The MASI.20, an index comprising the 20 most liquid stocks, increased by 0.59% to 1,110.42 pts, and the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG ratings as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, advanced by 0.69% to 994.04 pts.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap, a thematic index measuring the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, showed a gain of 0.21% at 1,242.95 pts.
Among individual stocks, Managem (+4.12% to 2,679 DH), SMI (+3.7% to 2,385 DH), RISMA (+3.31% to 247.95 DH), Stroc Industrie (+3.3% to 30.99 DH), and Sodep-Marsa Maroc (+2.44% to 378 DH) achieved the best performances. Conversely, Mutandis (-2.02% to 264.05 DH), TGCC (-0.78% to 330.4 DH), Sonasid (-0.1% to 867 DH), and Med Paper (-0.05% to 19.19 DH) were the only stocks in negative territory. The previous day, the MASI had closed with a loss of 0.05%.
