Inauguration of the Training Institute for Bakery and Pastry Trades in Casablanca

The Casablanca IFMBP is one of the 15 vocational training establishments (EFP) benefiting from the support of the « Charaka » Fund, set up by the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco Agency (MCA-Morocco) within the framework of the cooperation “Compact II”, concluded between Morocco and the government of the United States, represented by Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

A total investment of nearly 38 million dirhams for the IFMBP
Mobilizing a total investment of nearly 38 million dirhams, including a 75% contribution from the « Charaka » Fund, the project to create the Casablanca IFMBP is carried by the National Federation of Flour Milling (FNM), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and the National Association for the Promotion of Bakery and Pastry (ANVBP).

The IFMBP has been provided with technical and educational equipment for a total amount of almost 9.3 MDH, including in particular training workshops in bakery, pastries and pastry, a training room, a conference room, premises for the storage of raw materials and finished products, administrative and technical premises, a restaurant, a kitchen and various outbuildings.

400 educational seats per year
This institute will eventually offer a capacity of 400 educational seats annually, including 160 seats in work-study training (Specialized Technician and Technician) and 240 seats in apprenticeship training (Qualification) in 6 sectors, namely Bakery Pastry, Pastry Confectioner Chocolatier Glacier, Management of Bakery Pastry Point of Sale, Baker’s Assistant, Pastry Chef’s Assistant and Salesperson.

In addition to initial vocational training, the Casablanca IFMBP will provide qualifying or requalification training for young job seekers and continuous training and development for the staff of companies in the sector, as well as any other training course in occupations related to the occupations targeted by the Institute.

Thus, these quality trainings will thus make it possible to meet the skills needs of professionals. To this end, the IFMBP will also provide, for the benefit of companies in the sector, consultancy, assistance and support services in terms of diagnosis and identification of training needs, development of training plans and technical assistance.

It should be noted that the 15 projects benefiting from the support of the « Charaka » Fund, totaling an investment of approximately 1.1 billion DH, relate to the creation of 9 EFPs and the extension, rehabilitation and/or retraining of 6 EFPs. existing. These projects cover the sectors of agriculture and agro-industry, tourism, industry, crafts, construction, transport, logistics and health.

These EFPs, which will train nearly 13,000 trainees annually, are located in six regions of the Kingdom, namely Casablanca-Settat, Fez-Meknes, Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Béni Mellal-Khénifra, Drâa-Tafilalet and the Oriental.
