The Government Council, chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, is scheduled to meet this Thursday to discuss several strategic legislative and regulatory reforms, along with high-level appointment proposals.

According to a statement from the Government Presidency, two draft laws are on the agenda. The council will also examine four draft decrees, including one establishing the model statute for healthcare professionals within territorial health groups, in line with the broader healthcare reform program.

Other decrees concern the revision of the complementary salary scheme for medical, pharmaceutical, and dental university professors, the start date of operations for the health group in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, and updates to the status of medical faculty researchers.

The meeting will conclude with discussions on appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution. A special meeting will follow to address draft law proposals.
