Morocco’s Government Council will convene this Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch to review several draft laws, regulatory decrees, international agreements, and high-level appointment proposals.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the session will begin with the review of two draft laws. The first concerns the ratification of a decree-law amending the law on the creation of the National Agency for Water and Forests. The second relates to the approval of a decree-law on reforming regional investment centers and establishing unified regional investment commissions.

The Council will then examine two draft decrees: one introducing regulatory measures for engineers and architects working under the Ministry of Justice, and another modifying the decree that defines the roles of university institutions and the structure of higher education and national diplomas.

Following that, the Council will study an agreement on the mutual recognition of driving licenses between Morocco and the Republic of Chad, signed in Dakhla on August 14, 2024, along with a draft law approving the agreement.

The meeting will conclude with the review of proposals for high-level appointments, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
